We also focus on significant energy demands of burgeoning infrastructures like data centers. We not only analyze their energy behavior, consumption, and transitions, but also identify challenges and propose informed policy suggestions. Our goal is to pioneer sustainable practices and recommendations that pave the way for a more environmentally responsible energy landscape.

    Sustainable and Automated Mobility

    At the AI CPS Policy Lab, our research extends to sustainable and automated mobilities, particularly focusing on connected and automated vehicles (CAVs). We explore the regulatory pathways essential for the responsible development of automated vehicles. Our research focuses on how CAVs can enhance driving efficiency and contribute to a more inclusive society by providing increased mobility options for various user groups. Additionally, we address the environmental and social implications of these technologies, evaluating both their potential benefits and the challenges they present. By examining these aspects, we aim to develop comprehensive policy recommendations that facilitate the integration of automated vehicles into our transportation systems in a way that prioritizes sustainability and societal well-being.

    ESG and Corporate Governance

    At the AI CPS Policy Lab, we also engage with studies on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) research and corporate governance. Recognizing the role corporations play in addressing environmental challenges, our research focuses on how governance can be leveraged to promote sustainability. We investigate the relationship between corporate responsibility and financial performance, finding that companies which prioritize environmental and social responsibilities often achieve greater financial success. This insight underscores the potential of ESG as a powerful tool for fostering sustainable practices among corporations, thereby accelerating the shift towards broader environmental stewardship.
